We arrived on the Atlantic side of Panama where some of our guests' journey came to an end. Others would continue onwards down to Valparaiso and beyond, and therefore some went out on excursions for most of the day. We also welcomed a large group of new guests who arrived late in the afternoon and evening. They picked up their expedition jackets and animal group patches. They also attended our mandatory safety briefing before we could depart from the port later that night. During the night, we left and headed for the anchorage position before ships entered the Panama Canal.
