We had great expedition boat cruising and kayaking in the Inian Islands today. The strong tidal current made for rich waters, filled with food for all the wildlife we encountered. Steller sea lions were hauled out on the rocks, communicating with loud guttural barks. Sea otters peered at us from the kelp, some with pups resting on their bellies. As we sailed northwards through the glassy waters, we passed Mount Fairweather and the glaciers flowing down from the snow-clad peaks of Glacier Bay National Park.
