After scenic cruising along the coast of the peninsula, we made our way over to the south end of Trinity Island in Mikkelsen Harbour. By this point the weather had changed dramatically, with strong winds and some heavy snow coming down. We waited a bit for things to clear up, and the Expedition Team headed out to inspect the conditions. Unfortunately, aside from the weather, there was a lot of ice in the bay. The only clear part was where all the penguins were sitting on the beach molting, so it was not possible to land so many people there at a time. Sadly, in the end we had to cancel the landing.
