After our time around Ulvøya, we continued sailing along Raftsundet, where the landscape once again took center stage. Steep mountains lined the strait on both sides, their snow-covered ridges and dark rock faces creating striking contrasts against the winter light. The calm waters allowed us to enjoy the scenery from deck, watching the coastline slowly unfold as we made our way south.
Around 16:30, we arrived in Stokmarknes, docking alongside for a special evening ashore. From the ship, we walked directly to the Hurtigruten Museum, where we explored the rich maritime history of Norway’s coastal routes. The exhibits and preserved vessels offered insight into how these waters have connected communities for generations.
The visit was followed by dinner within the museum setting, creating a unique atmosphere where history and hospitality came together. It was a meaningful way to conclude a day that combined dramatic fjords, scenic navigation, and a deeper understanding of Norway’s coastal heritage.
