In the morning, we cruised in the scenic Neumayer Channel before heading over to our landing site for the afternoon at Danco Island. The approach to Danco was spectacular, with giant icebergs, whales, seals, and penguins everywhere, and – of course – the sunny and calm weather conditions!

Today guests got to enjoy longer expedition boat cruises as the ship had to be further from the landing site owing to the huge icebergs in the bay and the current. However, this gave the guests the opportunity to enjoy an expedition boat cruise in between some of those icebergs on the way to the landing site. Many even got to see some of the wildlife on the way. On the landing itself, many had to shed a layer of clothing as it warmed up very quickly in the sun!
