During the morning our guests enjoyed a scenic sailing in the Neny Island area and passed huge, beautifully shaped icebergs. In the afternoon we explored Stonington Island. The big hut there was the East Base of the United States, and it was here where the first women overwintered in Antarctica. The scenery here was spectacular! Just behind the hut was a huge rugged glacier front. What a view!
