We landed on one of the Bear Islands, in a sheltered bay known as Jyttehaven. It was an open perimeter landing, with the opportunity to visit up to three accessible viewpoints overlooking the scenic bay, with its beautiful large icebergs, snow-capped mountains, and views of neighbouring islands. Many of us were thrilled to spot not just any Arctic fox, but a rare blue morph, which comprises only around 3% of the total fox population.

Later that afternoon, as we sailed to our destination for the following day, we stopped the ship, opened the tender pit, and gave those who wished the chance to take a polar plunge.
