The morning saw the ship sat opposite the imposing Eqip Sermia glacier. A morning of zodiac cruising in front of the glacier followed. From a distance of 1km the glacier still felt huge as it rose steeply up towards the icesheet. We were lucky enough to see some pretty active calving with large chunks of the glacier crashing down into the water below. The loud rumblings and thunderous splashing could be heard from the ship over 4 km away.
