Our day in Grundarfjörður could not have been more perfect. Under brilliant sunshine and clear skies, the iconic Kirkjufell stood proudly before us, offering one of Iceland’s most famous and photogenic views. After docking, many guests took the shuttle bus to Kirkjufellsfoss, where the cascading waters framed the mountain in a scene straight from a postcard. Others set out on a hike around Kirkjufell, enjoying the scenery from a different perspective.

Following lunch on board, some guests joined optional excursions to discover more of the Snæfellsnes peninsula, while others lingered in town, soaking in the charm of Grundarfjörður and the dramatic landscapes that surrounded it.

In the late afternoon, the ship welcomed a special guest: local artist André Ivars, who entertained us with a unique performance blending music and comedy, drawing laughter and applause from the audience. As we sailed away, we gathered for the Captain’s farewell and enjoyed the trip’s slideshow — a heartfelt collection of moments captured by our photographer. It was the perfect conclusion to our unforgettable journey across the Arctic islands.
