We began the day on the bow, with a Wild Life Watch. Later, the expedition team gave a lecture on polar bear biology and culture. We joined a citizen-science session, mapping clouds to support NASA research. In early afternoon we reached the ice edge and launched zodiacs, steering between floes. A hands-on plankton workshop deepened our understanding of Arctic ecosystems. An unannounced polar plunge followed; several volunteers jumped into the frigid 80° N water. Evening plans concluded with a briefing, outlining tomorrow’s evolving exploration possibilities for us.
