Port Stanley. We finally arrived at the Falklands. Although the sky was overcast, the day was pretty warm compared to our days in Antarctica. We headed to our excursions. Our knowledgeable guides were presenting us with this unique place. Many historical buildings and points of interest were showed to us during the community walk, which ended in the museum. Those of us who chose to lunch in one of the local pubs or taverns got a chance to have truly English fish and chips.
In the evening, when all were already on board, another ship started to slowly approach us. It was getting so close that all the curious and surprised guests lined up along the railings on deck to observe what was happening. It was then announced that we were about to bunker – refuel our ship. This process took a couple of hours, so the view of the other ship with many pipes attached to us accompanied us for the rest of the night.
