We had blue, sunny skies once again for our first nature landing in Svalbard. Whatever the weather, Magdelenefjord is always beautiful! At the start, a handful of guests saw a young Arctic fox on the landing site, and a common seal swam by later. A big group went kayaking while the rest explored the historical site. Over 130 whaler graves and several remains of blubber ovens, which boiled the blubber to a liquid form, could be seen.
