We entered Kongsfjord in the morning and cruised around the area before slowly making our way to Ny-Ålesund. We had many important briefings in the morning, such as the AECO, polar bear safety, and kayak briefings. In Ny-Ålesund, we enjoyed guided walks. Afterwards, there was plenty of time to roam around freely and visit the shop, museum and perhaps even the Amundsen mast. The weather was incredible, with a full day of sunshine and mild temperatures. When not ashore, most people enjoyed the good weather by being outside on Deck 8.
