We arrive early in the morning in this beautiful fjord, but its majestic glacier is hidden under a dense fog. Just minutes after we reach our position, the fog pulls away like a theatre curtain to reveal gorgeous snow-peaked mountains, still green-blue water, and beautifully sculpted icebergs floating before the blue-tinted glacier. We take our zodiacs to a small beach and climb the steep hills and moss-covered rocks to the sound of waterfalls and chirping birds. We visit the Thule graves and marvel at the land's remote beauty and early cultures. Some of us spot a couple of shy Arctic foxes playing in the grass.
