After lunch a second landing for this day awaited us, still located on Deception Island. We headed to Telefon Bay where we had the option of an easy landing with a nice lookout point or a second option, a difficult hike around the ridge of a volcanic crater. Both landings provided us with magnificent views of the island, its mountains and the sea. As the first snow in the season had fallen previously, the landscape appeared to be a pencil drawing from which it was hard to take your eyes off. In the evening we left the South Shetland Islands to continue our way up North.
