Our day of crossing the Antarctic Circle was phenomenal. The gods of the southern oceans blessed us with a shining sun and clear skies! The captain, expedition leader and the Latino version of King Neptune himself (or was it the Latino Poseidon?), gave us the most chilling polar baptism at the crossing ceremony. It was indeed chilling! But everyone had so much fun. Then we had one of the most incredible experiences: a sea ice landing on an ice flow in the Isacke Passage! Who would have thought how much the crew and the expedition team could top themselves?
