Our last day in Antarctica ended with a flourish of paradisical beauty. In the morning, we visited Petermann Island, where guests marvelled at a colony of Adelie and Gentoo penguins and their chicks. However, the true highlights of this landing were the towering mountains which glistened around us in the crisp light of the morning sun. In the afternoon, the expedition team treated guests to a small boat cruising around the Yalours. Leopard seals, humpback whales, penguins, and icebergs were all spotted during the cruising. It was a fitting end to an expedition full of thrilling surprises at every turn.
