The ship pushed steadily through the North Atlantic as we crossed from Tórshavn to Seyðisfjörður, rolling gently — and sometimes not so gently — in the choppy seas that are part of life in these northern waters.

Guests gathered on deck between squalls to watch the dramatic coastline of Iceland emerge through the mist, making the lively crossing feel all the more adventurous. Once in Seyðisfjörður, we enjoyed a beautiful concert inside the town’s iconic blue church, where the music echoed perfectly beneath the wooden rafters and created a memorable welcome to East Iceland.

There were also optional excursions for those wanting to explore further, including a relaxing visit to the geothermal Vök Baths and a trip to the remote Skálanes Nature Reserve, known for its rugged landscapes, seabirds, and peaceful hiking trails.
