Today marked our final day of navigation, coinciding with New Year’s Day, and it was a calm and reflective way to close the expedition. We spent the day at sea, gradually leaving the Antarctic region behind while enjoying stable conditions and open horizons. Many guests gathered on deck throughout the morning, sharing quiet moments and watching the ocean pass beneath the ship as the light slowly changed.
On board, the atmosphere was relaxed and social. After the celebrations of the previous night, the day offered our guests time to rest, organize luggage, and revisit memories from the journey. A full program of onboard activities was available, including wildlife watches, talks, and informal gatherings, allowing our guests to end the voyage at their own pace. Later in the afternoon, guests joined the crew for a farewell, accompanied by a slideshow of highlights from the expedition, a fitting reminder of everything we had experienced together
