Today we spent the entire day at sea crossing the Drake Passage, with a very special atmosphere on board as we celebrated Christmas Day. The ocean reminded us where we were, with wind and a long rolling swell, but the ship made steady progress and felt safe and comfortable throughout the day. Even with the conditions outside, life on board was warm and lively.

In the morning, our guests joined a wildlife watch on deck, admiring albatrosses gliding effortlessly above the waves. The day was filled with activities, talks, and workshops, keeping everyone engaged. One of the highlights was decorating Christmas cookies in the Explorer Lounge, sharing laughter, creativity, and hot chocolate. There was also time for science sessions, art activities, and photography, giving the day a relaxed and festive rhythm.

Between activities, our guests enjoyed unhurried meals, quiet conversations, and moments of reflection while looking out at the Southern Ocean. By the end of the day, it was clear that, even far from land, the shared spirit on board made this Christmas at sea a truly memorable experience.
