We awoke to a lively Arctic morning, with strong winds and a significant swell accompanying us as we sailed along the coast of Isfjorden. Despite the challenging conditions, we were treated to excellent views from the ship as we passed in front of the legendary settlement of Pyramiden. From the outer decks, we admired this remarkable former mining town, its distinctive buildings standing as a reminder of a unique chapter in Svalbard’s history. Nearby, the magnificent Nordenskiöldbreen completed the scene, its broad glacier front stretching across the landscape.
