We arrived in Tromsø at 8 am and tied up at Pier 8. Some set off with the Naturalists on the guided hike to Prestvannet, while others explored Tromsø by e-bike or took a bus tour through the Arctic capital. Some visited the Polar Museum on their own, making use of the minivan shuttle between the pier and the museum. Back on board, guests expanded their knowledge in the Science Centre session on the biology of birds and contributed to the NASA GLOBE Cloud Observer Citizen Science programme. Those interested in kayaking attended the mandatory briefing, and we closed the day with a talk on Arctic geopolitics.
