Sailing northwards, we prepared guests for the expedition days ahead — boots and expedition jackets were distributed and briefings held for the activities to come. The calm morning brought the first glimpses of otters and seabirds for those who attended the wildlife watches on the bow, as the wind and swell began to pick up. In the afternoon, Captain Trond, the officers, and the Expedition Team formally welcomed guests on board and raised a Norwegian 'skål' for the voyage ahead.
