Our journey began in Fairlie, where we were welcomed by beautiful weather, with clear skies and calm conditions setting the tone for the days ahead. Throughout the afternoon, we arrived at the pier and boarded MS Spitsbergen, settling into our cabins and getting our first glimpse of life on board.
Soon after embarkation, we gathered for the mandatory safety drill, an essential introduction before departure. The afternoon continued with a welcome meeting hosted by the Expedition Leader and Hotel Manager, where we were introduced to the voyage and what lay ahead.
