Our first day northbound through the Drake Passage marked the beginning of our return journey. Guests attended lectures on board, continuing to learn about the wildlife and environments we had experienced in Antarctica. Many went out on deck to wildlife watch, hoping for some last glimpses of seabirds and marine life. During the day, guests also returned their rubber boots, signalling the winding down of expedition activities. The day offered a reflective pace, giving our guests time to look back on the highlights of the journey.
