It was another gorgeous day in Antarctica today as many of us had an optional activity of snowshoeing on Hovgaard Island, while everyone else went on a nice zodiac cruise in the bay. Most of us managed to see some seals, possibly even some whales in the bay, and also a few gentoo penguins. Even while on board it was well worth being out on the open decks this morning as some of the whales and penguins were swimming quite close to the ship

It was another gorgeous day in Antarctica! Many enjoyed snowshoeing on Hovgaard Island, while everyone else went expedition boat cruising in the bay. We observed seals and gentoo penguins – and possibly even some whales – in the bay. Even on board it was well worth being out on the open decks. This morning was exceptional as some and penguins were swimming quite close to the ship.
