The morning was characterized by more of a 'Drake-shake' as we had strong winds as well as waves. All guests had to attend the mandatory IAATO briefing before lunch to learn more about how to travel sustainability in Antarctica and also some safety information for our operations. Then guests picked up the rubber boots that they would need to wear on all our landings and while expedition boat cruising, as well as their animal (boat group) patches. Later that evening we all went to bed excited for what was in store for us in Antarctica.
