Fortuna Bay was our morning landing site. Here, we expertly navigated through fur seal territory to reach a large king penguin colony. We stood at the viewpoint and looked into the valley filled with thousands upon thousands of king penguins. Some embarked on the iconic Shackleton hike, enjoying mountain views seeped in history, while the rest sailed onwards to Strømness to meet the hikers there.
