We could already feel some rough seas during the early hours of the morning, however it was not too bad, with approximately 2–3m swells. Regardless, it was a busy day, with many briefings for guests to attend, as well as picking up their HX expedition jackets. The briefings included those about the activities that would be available on the voyage and how to sign up for them. There was also a separate briefing for those guests interested in kayaking. Later that evening, we enjoyed the Captain's Welcome, where the Captain, the ships' officers, and the Expedition Team members introduced themselves.
