This was an absolute breathtaking day! Our Captain continued sailing the ship south, deep into the King George VI Sound. We sailed slowly through the frozen sea and spotted many Adélie penguins and even a few emperor penguins on the ice. The Expedition Team took guests expedition boat cruising through the ice. In the afternoon we even stepped 'ashore' on a big ice floe, and many saw emperor penguins standing on the same ice floe as us. A true once-in-a-lifetime experience! The day ended with a polar plunge! Our furthest point we reached was 69°51' South!
