After sailing toward the South Shetland Islands, we sailed into Deception Island and landed in the caldera an active volcano. Here, guests wandered around the abandoned whaling station, and saw fur seals and gentoo penguins. Some guests even used the opportunity for a second polar plunge from the black sand beach. The view from Neptune's Window was breathtaking.
