On this day we visited Orne Harbour, Port Lockroy, and Damoy Point. Guests went ashore at Orne Harbour and climbed up to a viewpoint above the bay, watching chinstrap penguins. At Port Lockroy, they landed at Goudier Island, visited the historic base buildings, and walked among the gentoo penguin colony. Later at Damoy Point, some of the the bravest guests went camping near an old hut manned by the British until the '90s and watched penguins moving between snow patches and the shoreline. Between landings, we cruised along the coastline, passing ice and rugged shores.
