Our ship made its way north into Fiordo de las Montañas – the Fjord of the Mountains. The wind began to die down, and the skies cleared. By the time we reached the middle of the fjord, the Bernal Glacier was illuminated by the shining sun. We walked from the coast along a small river to the glacier’s front and saw the small lake formed by the thawing ice. In the evening, our ship glided through the Patagonian fjords. The calm sea became a mirror, reflecting the icy mountain landscape, which appeared to sail alongside our vessel.
