In this small village we were greeted by Greenlandic dogs, horses, sheep, and a fascinating historic heritage site: the first settlement of the Vikings in Greenland, founded by Erik the Red. Inside the reconstructed longhouse one could really get a sense of how the early Norsemen in Greenland lived. We also saw the very first Catholic church built in Greenland.
