On the 8th of September, the day began with early landings at Rødepynt, where we rode our zodiacs to explore the chocolate-like sandy environment. The rugged landscape provided a quiet encounter with Greenland's natural surroundings. Wildlife Watch from the bow on deck 5 offered opportunities to observe local fauna in their habitats. Several science boat groups spent the morning venturing at sea, exploring and learning in smaller teams. Lectures and tiny talks throughout the day touched on polar night adaptations and the geology of East Greenland. In the afternoon, we cruised along the bay, admiring striking icebergs in varied shades of blue and white, creating a memorable Arctic scene.
