Today was a true exploration day for MS Spitsbergen as we started our voyage through the National Park. Our first out of two landings of the day started off at a very shallow sandy beach. The weather was overcast but warm as we started to roam the area covered in beautiful patches of Alpine Bearberry.

We had a distant sighting of some snowy owls as well as Musk Oxen at times. One of the snowy owls even flew over the landing site towards the end.
