We stayed in Cambridge Bay for a few extra hours, giving us the chance to visit the site where Amundsen’s ship Maud, later owned by the Hudson’s Bay Company, sank in the bay near the shore. A birdwatching session took place nearby, offering a chance to observe local species in a quiet setting. The morning offered a meaningful connection to both natural and historical aspects of the region.
