After lunch, we headed to the southwest of the Bear Islands for a small boat cruising adventure among the lower islands. Early in the first round, we were treated to an unforgettable encounter: a polar bear walking along the upper slopes of one of the islands, pausing briefly before slipping gracefully into the water. Watching it swim in its natural environment was a rare and thrilling experience.

We continued weaving through a maze of icebergs, their colors and shapes shifting with every turn, while in the distance the jagged peaks of Qalikattooq Island rose dramatically against the sky. As the wind picked up, the atmosphere became even more striking, with choppy water adding texture to an already spectacular scene. A group of guests took to the kayaks, paddling quietly among the ice and taking in this Arctic wonderland from water level — a truly memorable way to immerse in such breathtaking surroundings.
