In a dramatic turn of landscape, the morning greeted guests to the snow covered Saint Elias mountain range. The highest point of Saint Mount Elias towered over the ship at 18,008ft, with clouds clinging to the peak and allowing glimpses of the rugged topography dominated by glaciers. Icy bay definitely lived up to its name, with ice carried out of the bay on the currents, calved from the glaciers surrounding the area. A beautiful place to embark on some scenic cruising on the zodiacs.
