On the first day of your expedition aboard HX's hybrid vessel the MS Fridtjof Nansen. You arrived through various flights to Greenland's capital Nuuk and were welcomed aboard the vessel. After some time exploring the ship and finding the restaurant, a few onboard events followed. A mandatory safety drill, Expedition jacket handout and a welcome briefing from your Expedition Leader and Hotel Manager giving you an orientation to the ship and the voyage ahead. In the late summer sunlight we set sail northwards in search of icebergs and into the Arctic.
