Windy, overcast weather initially threatened our landing, but we found shelter from the wind on the south side of the island, and conditions improved throughout the visit. Two beached whales at the landing site were a surprising sight, and guests enjoyed photographing the whales, strolling along the beach, and searching for the McKay’s Bunting - a bird unique to this area.
