As we continued our journey toward Hornsund, which, despite its name, is actually a fjord rather than a sound, we arrived at Gnålodden under a calm, overcast sky. The rugged cliffs here are home to flocks of kittiwakes, Brünnich’s guillemots, and fulmars, filling the air with their wings and calls....
