As we approached Cordova, the waters were flat and calm. This provided everyone with ample opportunities to spot Sea otters swimming abound. We anchored close to town and tendered to shore. Most of us went to an included excursion at the local science center where we learned of recent environmental projects and local culture. The speaker was excellent and informative. Some of the guests kayaked in the still waters, watching sea otters close by, and receiving excellent interpretation of the local flora. The town was small but the heart of the people living there was big.
