Just as we were hoping to have good weather for a change, Haines gave us the brightest sun we could have expected. The town itself was very welcoming, and the real beauty was that we were entirely surrounded by a stunning mountain range in every single direction; it was a spectacle to behold! Some local guides told us all about the town’s history, while others went on exciting excursions throughout the area. How can Alaska be so beautiful? This day was truly hard to beat, and it will stay in our hearts forever. The day finished with a huge group of barking Steller’s sea lions and a glorious full moon on the horizon.
