Reykjavík – Arrival in the Heart of Iceland

This morning we arrived in Reykjavík, Iceland’s lively and eclectic capital, nestled between the sea and surrounding volcanic peaks. As MS Fridtjof Nansen made her way into the harbor, the skyline came into view, marked by colorful rooftops, striking modern architecture, and the iconic silhouette of Hallgrímskirkja church rising above the city.

After breakfast, guests disembarked to explore Reykjavík on guided walks and independent excursions. Some chose to discover the city's rich culture and history with visits to the old harbor, the Reykjavík Art Museum, or a stroll through the charming downtown filled with street art, cafés, and design shops.

Throughout the day, the weather remained dynamic, classic Iceland, with moments of sunshine and brisk winds. It was a day filled with exploration and inspiration, capping off our North Atlantic crossing with the vibrant energy of one of the world’s northernmost capitals.
