We couldn’t have asked for a better start to our island-hopping adventure. Under clear blue skies and warm sunshine, we arrived early at the Isle of Arran and made our way ashore via the slipway with calm seas and perfect conditions.

Throughout the day, we explored the island’s many charms. Some of us visited the impressive Brodick Castle, wandering through its stately rooms and gardens while enjoying sweeping views across the bay. Others joined our Activity Guides for the scenic “Fisherman’s Walk,” a gentle coastal route that showcased the island’s natural beauty.

For those looking for more of a challenge, the Arran Peak and Glencoy Walk offered a chance to stretch our legs and gain elevation, with stunning panoramic views rewarding the effort.

As the day came to a close, we sailed south past the striking rock of Ailsa Craig, glowing golden in the soft light of sunset. Towering out of the sea with its dramatic cliffs and seabird colonies, it was a breathtaking sight and a perfect end to our first full day—a moment of calm and wonder that set the tone for the journey ahead.
