Today, we began our operations early in the morning, with the first of us stepping foot on the mainland in the city of Castro just after 8 o'clock. Colourful buildings, narrow streets, and a delightful walk awaited those who chose not to join the trip to Chiloe National Park. We had undoubtedly left the cold regions behind, and the nature we encountered here made it clear we were now much closer to tropical latitudes than the chilly Ushuaia we had departed from just days ago. Throughout the day in port, we were accompanied by an extraordinary companion—a small dog with the charming name, Rollo.
