Our fourth day at sea was a blend of exploration, learning, and shared experiences as we embraced the rhythm of life aboard the ship. The day began with a variety of activities designed to inspire and connect us with the natural world. Wildlife enthusiasts among us gathered on Deck 5 for Wildlife Watch, scanning the horizon for marine life under the guidance of our expedition team. Meanwhile, all passengers attended the mandatory South Georgia Regulations Briefing, ensuring we were prepared for future landings in this pristine and protected environment. In the Science Center, we examined water samples collected from the Falkland Islands, marvelling at the unique ecosystems they revealed. For those seeking creative outlets, the Art Corner provided an opportunity to explore artistic talents, while photography enthusiasts participated in manual photography workshops led by Geraldine, owning their skills in capturing the beauty around us.

The afternoon brought more enriching experiences. Some of us joined NASA's GLOBE Cloud Observer program on Deck 7, contributing to climate research by identifying cloud formations. Others attended a lecture by ORCA scientists on whale research in the Southern Ocean, gaining a deeper appreciation for these majestic creatures and their habitats. As evening approached, we gathered for dinner in either Restaurant Lindstrøm or Aune, sharing reflections on the day’s activities. The anticipation for our upcoming adventures in South Georgia added excitement to our conversations. The combination of discovery, learning, and camaraderie made this day at sea truly unforgettable, leaving us feeling more connected to both nature and each other.
