Our day in the Falklands unfolded with a blend of expedition activities and island exploration. After meticulous gear inspections at the deck 3 bio-security station, we divided into boat groups for the New Island landing, starting at 08:00 under favourable swell conditions. The morning was spent exploring rugged coastlines and observing nesting seabirds, returning to the ship by noon for lunch.

The afternoon brought dual enrichment opportunities - a Wildlife Watch from deck 5's bow (13:00-14:00) revealed black-browed albatrosses soaring above the waves, while concurrent offerings included a Falklands history lecture in the Lecture Hall and Chinese-language photography workshop in the Science Center.
