Just after lunch, we started our operation in Orne Harbour. First landing, and our first step on the continent. We walked up the hill to reach a pass where chinstrap penguins had decided to build their nests. Conditions were truly Antarctic. Strong winds and snow made the climb uphill and walking down even more difficult. Thankfully, our expedition team ensured we all returned safely on board. An incredible first experience.
